In the education of children there is nothing like alluring the interest and affection; otherwise you only make so many asses laden with books. ~Michel de Montaigne
Education is the ability to listen to almost anything without losing your temper or your self-confidence. ~Robert Frost

One of the great bloggers of our time has decided to take a break and move forward into the world of publishing and other activities. Robin Easton will be leaving us for awhile. Take a look at her blog at http://nakedineden.com/nakedinedenblog/ and look at the comments. She has a great number of readers who care deeply about her. We all wish her well and hope that she will return to us someday.
15 Time to Say Goodbye (Con Te Partirò)
Oftentimes when someone we know through the internet leaves us (for whatever reason) we do not have an opportunity to say good-bye. This is a problem. We leave ALL those whom we love or care about at some time. There are no other options. The only thing we can hope for is the opportunity to say good-bye. So “good-bye Robin”. . . you have been an inspiration to me. Your comments have helped me continue to blog in the face of general indifference for the most part. But, more importantly, you have shown me how it is possible to reach out to more than a few people in a meaningful way.
Good luck in the future and take care of yourself.

Basic Simplicity Theme/ New Blogging Effort
Every once in awhile it makes sense to me to throw things up in the air and see what happens next. I was finding it increasingly difficult to blog and so Virginia Breeze ended up on the cutting room floor.
But there were some things in it worth saving and when I found a new theme a plan took shape to combine blogs. The theme is called Basic Simplicity and it allows someone with basic skills to create a very nice theme. The support is very good too.
I was able go to Appearance/Edit Basic Simplicity and work with the theme colors and fonts ( I have used this opportunity to increase font size because I am apparently going blind. How are you doing in this category?). It took about a minute to place a photo from Flickr in a large space that became the personalized header image. It all seems so simple now but at the time it was not. Here’s the address that made it so.

Thanks to Michael Janzen for his help. I have a much clearer idea about the things I can do blogging-wise at this point and hope to increase my activities. One of the things I recently discovered is that my past efforts to talk about blogging were supremely dull and largely useless.
But I did want to mention the Basic Simplicity theme and give a short explanation as to why Virginia Breeze was dumped after 2 1/2 years of posting.
And then there was the moment that I realized I could apply this new learning to http://myfotobuzz.com and create a synergistic effect. HA-HA. Ideas just explode around you when you throw things up in the air. Just be sure to NOT duplicate content or Grandpa Google will get upset.
Photo LinkLove has about a third of the readership of VB but that’s not really a problem. It’s quality not quantity once again that is important and many of the keywords here have to do with poetry. I can live with that. And I hope new readers will grab the RSS feed that is displayed in several places. This theme allows for widget placement in creative ways and in many different areas.

I would like to thank for all this inspiration my wife who doesn’t like me to say her name on the internet and Robin who doesn’t care for all of this forward motion. Both of them are inspirations in my life. Life is full of inspirations if we are open to them.
