William Blake/ An Amazing Artist

One of my favorite authors and painters is William Blake. If you follow this link you can read about his life and the problems he faced in his time. He was an incredibly talented artist but it was not until long after his death that he gained acceptance.

I admire him a great deal. And he sets an example of how to pursue creative goals however meager they are in comparison to a great artist.

Eventually the world caught on to him and began to celebrate his artistry. This is the thing that strikes me the most. There is hope for the world because it does recognize genius at some point. It advances however slowly through the years.

Every once in awhile I spend a few moments with him and his work. It is always time well spent.
