How you thrive upon this place!

It certainly gives you lots of space

To loose you wings and learn to fly

As if you were a butterfly.

It is a shame that you must dwell

When summer’s over nearer hell

Where all are gathered with their books

To share each other’s sullen looks.

But let us not about this feel

Foreboding so this day would steal

Away our joy as we would hook

A feisty crab for dinner’s cook.

Let us not remember when

We only held a dull red pen

Or times we sat upon a rock

While players gathered round to mock.

Let us stay here for awhile

Until the night does play

Upon the cinders of the day

And sleep under the moon.

Til morning when you once again

Play as if the day won’t end.
