Dolphin Jumping Out Of The Water
Just for the record I did take a photo last year of a dolphin jumping out of the water. He was pretty far away.
But he is a dolphin and he was jumping.
And so having been liberated from the necessity of blogging photos taken in the winter of 2008-09 I present to you. . .
Dolphin Jumping Out Of The Water.
I didn’t think it was possible for a day to be drearier and wetter and colder than yesterday but I was wrong. Because today is all those things and more.
I think I remember someone saying that these dolphins head south in the winter. Happy hunting where ever you go big guy!
And don’t ever stop trying to fly.

Hi dear David,
I take great delight in this photo. Do you know why? Because it shows the immensity of the sea and this one lone dolphin jumping skyward. There is only a hint of his friends off to the right behind him…can’t tell if they too are dolphins or sea birds. Either way this photo would be cool blown up HUGE….HUUUUUUGE and hung to cover an entire wall….in a really big room. I love the split blue color of the sea, upper half darker, lower half lighter.
This whole photo speaks to me of freedom, individuality, hope and possibility. I just turned the music on just now and am loving it too. I want to track it down. I would love to write to it.
I am not fully sure why, but this whole dolphin post is very liberating for me right now. More so than the videos I’ve seen of dolphins swimming up close. I guess, like I said, it’s the VAST immensity of the sea….and only this one tiny dolphin. And the colors are to die for.
I can’t encourage you enough to just keep snapping that shutter. You have a creative eye.
I have thought of you and wondered how you are doing and pray that you are feeling better. I am sorry that you have been so sick and that the weather has been so cold and rainy. It really makes me appreciate the blue sunny skies we have here, even if it’s cold. I love SUN.
Thank you my dear friend.
You inspired me today….as always.
